Less total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol. More omega 3’s, vitamin E, C, and beta carotene. No added hormones or antibiotics and better taste. Need I say more? Ok, I will! Increasing your purchasing/consumption of locally-raised, grass-fed meat provides benefits for not only you, but also for the earth and the animal. I will spare you the pictures of factory-raised animals (we’ve seen the documentaries), and I’ll spare you the chat about injected drugs and unnatural feed. We know it’s awful, and that is why we LOVE our local meat farmers!

I recently took at a trip to Rainbow Blossom Natural Foods Market to grab our meat for the week. Rainbow Blossom is one of multiple retail locations that carry local meat product. (See list below) This week I went with some ground beef, Italian sausage, and bratwursts.
